long terms of service
i, the artist, retain full and exclusive rights to the original artwork. the client may not claim it as their own or use it for anything other than personal use
all commissioned artwork is for noncommercial use only. redistribution of my artwork for use in printed merchandise or as promotion of goods, services or social media pages is prohibited. if there are any questions about this, ask me before commissioning me
reposting:
the client has my permission to repost the artwork wherever they would like, as long as proper credit is given (a link back to any one or more of my social media pages) and my watermark/signature remains intact and unaltered
not allowed:
altering my artwork in any way without asking for permission beforehand, with the exception of cropping/resizing the image for an icon or other use
use my artwork as references for your own, whether tracing or re-purposing parts of the image
claiming the artwork as your own
use in training or prompting AI and algorithms
violation of these terms will result in a private blacklist from commissioning me
payment and refunds
payment
all USD payments are taken through paypal and cashapp ONLY. payment must be sent before i will start on your commission. failure to do so will result in forfeiture of commission slot. exceptions are made only when a payment plan is discussed and agreed upon in writing. you, the commissioner, are responsible for telling me once payment is sent so that i can confirm that i have received it. major edits may result in an extra charge. tips are always appreciated but never required!
refunds
if the commission is cancelled (by me or the client) before work has started, then the client will receive a full refund
if the commission is cancelled after work has started, the client will receive a refund based on progress made at the artist's discretion
initial sketch: 80%
final sketch: 75%
lineart: 50%
no refunds after flat colors are complete
the artist reserves the right to cancel any commission at any time for any reason without explanation
deadlines
commissions can take up to a month (30 days) to complete. this can be due to current workload, commission type, events in my personal life, or any other reason. if there is a specified due date, i, the artist, must be informed upfront and may decline at my discretion
art usage
i reserve the rights to all artwork made to:
promote myself in advertisements
display on any form of social media i have unless otherwise specified
use as examples to others, including watermark
the client reserves the right to:
claim rights to the character(s) depicted, but not the piece itself
share/repost the artwork to any place they see fit with proper credit to the artist
request that their commissioned piece not be displayed by the artist
requests for the artist to not display artwork must be presented no later than upon receiving the artwork
artwork commissioned from the artist are strictly prohibited for commercial use by the client. they are for personal use only
